Provides a wide range of expert technical support and consulting to faculty and staff of Clinical Affairs schools and other supported entities. Responsible for installation, configuration and maintenance of servers in support of business processing requirements for the statewide IT mission. Responsibilities include hardware management, operating system management, and security management.
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in computer science/technology or related field and two years of computer experience.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.
Experience in Red Hat Linux system administration and user application support in a virtual server environment. Possess an understanding of the implementation process in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment including deployments, PXE Installations, Ansible, Bash Scripting, Nginx, Tomcat, Apache Web Environments, PostgreSQL MariaDB and Oracle Database Environments.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including a customer service orientation and ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals. Strong organizational and multitasking skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and organize, plan, and prioritize work. Proven ability to demonstrate problem solving skills related to systems monitoring and evaluation along with an understanding of DevOps concepts as part of the ongoing support of CAITS clients.Preferred Qualifications Working Conditions / Physical Demands
