Flint Hills Resources is seeking a Project Manager to support our Euless, TX terminal.
The Project Manager oversees pipeline and terminals construction projects to contract, install and start up liquids and gas pipelines and related facilities and/or assets that optimize the value of the business. The Project Manager leads and manages the project team to safely complete the project and ensure all functional design and quality requirements are met or exceeded, the project schedule is maintained and completed on time and within the corporate approved budget for the project.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Lead and direct projects and coordinate key functions with internal and external technical resources to meet all project requirements for safety, budget, schedule, functionality and quality; meeting or exceeding company and industry standards and expectations.
Using the phased-gate model the project manager ensures an operational road map to manage the project from inception to startup including adequate and competent staffing and technical expertise throughout the project life cycle.
Assist Business Development and Operations by preparing project scopes, cost estimates, and execution plans for new and expansion projects.
Develop and implement definitive project plans which include risk assessed cost estimates, engineering design, contracting strategies, fabrication and construction, quality assurance, pre-commissioning and commissioning, and project closure to complete projects safely, on time, on budget and with satisfactory quality and functionality.
Additional responsibilities include project reporting and cost tracking / forecasting in conjunction with project controls and reporting to senior management.

Computer skills; specifically, the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or similar field) OR 5 years of work experience in a project management role plus a high school diploma (or equivalent)
3-5 years or more of project management experience in maintenance, construction, or commissioning of pipelines and related facilities
Ability to work in hot, cold, or inclement climate conditions
Ability to climbs ladders and stairs to reach equipment
Position requires travel of up to 25%
Position requires the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
What Will Put You Ahead?
Specific project management experience with pipelines, chemical plants, tanks, storage terminals, booster stations, and meter/delivery skids
Experience with pipeline and pump station integrity, design, construction, maintenance and repair
Knowledge with DOT 195 regulations; knowledgeable and able to follow regulations accordingly
Pump Design, piping design, hydraulic modeling and pipeline integrity testing (hydro testing, ILI tools, direct assessments, etc.)
