Position Description:
Micro-Poise Measurement Systems an AMETEK company is a leading OEM supplier of capital test equipment to the worldwide automotive and tire industries. Micro-Poise is currently seeking a Aftermarket Production Planner/Scheduler for their Streetsboro, Ohio facility.

This position supports on time delivery objectives by establishing realistic production schedules for aftermarket customer orders (build-to-order kits, machine upgrades and spare parts orders), related sub-assemblies, stock-able sub-assemblies and finished goods. Coordinates, monitors and reports progress for the on-time delivery of quality products through operations. Creates and maintains accurate data, and works with Buyers to ensure the timely supply of materials. Communicates needs and unavoidable exceptions to the delivery plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Work in conjunction with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Field Service and related support groups to establish and maintain a MPS Master Production schedule for Aftermarket orders.
•Input for MPS to include key elements such as
forecast demand, production costs, inventory
costs, lead time, working hours, capacity,
inventory levels, available storage, and parts
supply.
•Strive for the MPS to minimize the following:
shortages, costly expediting, last minute
scheduling, and inefficient allocation of
resources while supporting on time shipments.
-Lead and direct regular planning status meetings to support Aftermarket revenue projections as well as provide forum for resolution of problems. Obtain and coordinate all information and data needed to ensure that product plans are robust, accurate, thorough, and are maintained.
•Work as a liaison to resolve gaps between
customer want and promise dates throughout
the product design, procurement and
manufacturing cycle from Order to Shipping
(Staging).
•Act as the primary support contact for
intercompany orders
•Prepare reports required to facilitate and
suggest actions to assure optimal execution of
the plan. Identify any issues which if not
resolved may impact a smooth execution.
•Attend planning/production meetings
recommending product priorities ensuring all
required support/resource/ facilities have been
identified.
•Support and publish On Time Shipment
Metrics, tracking related root cause. Make
suggestions to improve on time delivery
based on findings.
-Perform all activities supporting the execution of the Aftermarket MPS:
•Prepare and maintain all
production/manufacturing orders to support
Aftermarket MPS.
•Work with Buyers to ensure timely supply of
material
•Prepare and Maintain pick schedule for
Aftermarket Orders.
•Prepare documents required for the release
of production/manufacturing orders.
•Ensure timely release of
production/manufacturing orders required
based on schedule
•Maintain Item master data in Fourth Shift as
necessary.
-Manage ECNs (Engineering Changes) for Aftermarket products; ensure changes are implemented in a timely manner and communicated appropriately

-Coordinate Aftermarket Work in Process portion of the Physical Inventory.

-Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, production performance, product quality, or efficiency.

Position Requirements:
-A minimum of 3 to 5 years ERP/MRP production planning/scheduling experience in a build to order manufacturing environment.

-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering a plus

-APICS Certification a plus

-Fourth Shift experience a plus

-Excellent planning and organizational skills, methodical and detail oriented

-Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work developing and using a structured approach

-Must be familiar with creating, using, and manipulating production schedules

-Must be able to review and re-evaluate performance to production schedules and make suitable recommendations to achieve plans

-Proficient PC skills in the use of MS Word, Excel, MS Project and MS Access

-Detail oriented
