Nielsen Scarborough, the nation's premier source for local consumer insights, is looking for a goal-oriented individual with management experience to join as Team Lead for Nielsen Scarborough’s Operations Data Production team.  The Data Production team performs heavy day-to-day data set-up, processing and validation. The ideal candidate will thrive on working with a team in a schedule driven, fast-paced production environment, to meet client data delivery deadlines and quality commitments.  


 

Responsibilities:



  • Oversees and accountable for work quality and timeliness for multiple analysts / senior analysts / production associates




  • Responsible for the training of new hires, development of existing team and retraining of  under-performing associates




  • Identify and collect key performance indicators (KPIs) required in order to maintain a set of measures that will gauge process and associate performance




  • Assess and provide feedback of assigned processes with a specific focus on the effectiveness and efficiency around how work is being completed (quality and timeliness)




  • Reward and celebrate achievement and address poor performance




  • Review manager training materials and meet Engagement, Check-In and performance management expectations for team




  • Act as an initial escalation point for associates, internal client teams, and clients




  • Manage execution of processes / procedures to ensure delivery timeliness and quality (internal and client deliverables)




  • Ensure associates follow standard operating procedures, escalation policies, business policies




  • Work with process owners / ops managers / others to identify / implement new procedures




  • Coordinate / manage with other leaders and across teams / departments to ensure the health and performance of defined processes




  • Drive alignment to build / ensure sustainable processes and that teams in multiple locations work together cohesively




  • Support successful implementation of process changes through change management and change control




  • Perform production associate activities / work and various responsibilities as business requires.




  • Assess and provide feedback on the impact of business, product and technology changes on the processes within their purview




  • Team with Scarborough personnel in other Nielsen offices on new development projects and assisting on existing projects as necessary.




  • Display awareness of and responsiveness of “end to end” processes and the performance measures aligned to customer requirements and internal OLAs and external SLAs  




 

      Requirements/Skills:  



  • Previous experience in leadership or managing a team




  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience




  • Articulate, clear and a confident communicator (oral and written)




  • Highly organized with good time management skills




  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability




  • Experienced conflict management and resolution skills




  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize work against set milestones to deliver quality data by established deadlines




  • An optimistic outlook, shows initiative and employs creative solutions in challenging ‘status quo’




  • Proficient in  Microsoft Suite and Google Apps
