Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ensure excellent housekeeping practices and safety awareness is maintained on all shifts.
Maintain positive communication on all shifts. Communicate effectively both within and outside of the bindery to ensure all production requirements, schedules, quality, and final deliveries of our products meet customer and company quality expectations and deadlines.
Work with other members of the leadership team to create and support training needs of new hires, apprentices and all team members, supporting their continued growth.
Make recommendations regarding hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, discipline and training of crew members.
Ensure appropriate crewing is maintained on all shifts.
Ensure fair administration of company and plant policies; ensure effective resolution of employee concerns or conflicts.
Ensure efficient use of resources and minimization of waste.
Assume a proactive role in continuous improvement; encourage problem solving and solicit suggestions from crew members toward improvement in all aspects of the safety, quality, crewing, maintenance, productivity and profitability.
Maintain and monitor the completion of all necessary records and documents as assigned.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a high quality fast paced environment.
Solid knowledge of operations, workflow, equipment and materials.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment toward achievement of common goals.
Demonstrated ability to recognize issues and utilize problem solving skills to gain positive outcomes.
Strong computer skills; proficient with MS Excel and Word.
Willing to abide by department and plant practices including, standing for up to 11.5 hours with periodic breaks, working the average amount of overtime for the position, and shift rotation requirements.
Must be capable of performing the Key Responsibilities of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Experience with Continuous improvement methodologies.
