Typical duties:  Under direction of leader/supervisor, follow assembly drawings and/or specifications and computer information systems to prepare parts and build subassemblies, modules and accessories for new gas turbine engines where tooling and process methods are established. Perform similar duties assisting with engine test operations and performing component and accessory tests as assigned.  Use overhaul and repair procedures and specifications to perform the mechanical work to overhaul engines, modules and related components.  Obtain parts, check details for conformance to assembly requirements and fit and measure components to assure overall dimensions are within limits specified.  Use mechanic's hand tools, holding fixtures, and specialized assembly equipment to build engine sections and perform installation of details and maintain equipment and tooling for assigned areas.  Provide related support for test operations and assist with testing under direct supervision and specific test schedules.  Perform similar duties to assist with co-producer, customer support or other similar programs, retrofit projects and to accommodate new engine programs and assist with changes in specifications. May be required to train for, obtain, and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within trade specialization. Note: Middletown Test Operations is an FAA regulated facility and compliance with such rules may be a condition of employment.

Qualification: Basic qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.

  • 4+ years of electro-mechanical experience/training.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer controls.

  • Previous experience in Aerospace/ Military Aircraft

  • Airframe And Power plant License

  • Experience/Qualifications

  • 1+ year of airforce maintenance systems experience

Education: High School diploma or GED required
