Summary/Objective
The Plant Manager is responsible for leading and managing all safety efforts at the plant as well as planning, quality control, customer services and maintenance functions. Additional objectives include asset protection, financials, budgeting, cost control, environmental, personnel and community relations. This position will lead the management team and hourly employees .

  • Responsible for leading the safety, health, environmental programs, guidelines and policies.
  • Lead and develop salary and hourly workforce to create teamwork and drive a safe and productive environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Company, Local, State and Federal rules and regulations.
  • Leads operations to established production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics.
  • Responsible for the planning and scheduling of plant activities to include schedule, production and training activities.

  • Supervisory Responsibility
    This position will supervise and be accountable for up to 25 employees.
    Work Environment
    This job operates frequently in a maintenance and operations environment in an underground and surface mine location. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time position regularly requiring long hours and weekend work.
    Travel
    Occasional travel will be required.
    Required Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree and two or more years of supervisory experience or equivalent.

  • Preferred Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Management or Engineering and two or more years of supervisory experience or equivalent..

  • Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Skill Trade Certification(s) are a plus.
