Job Description:



The Field Service engineer is responsible for installation, preventative maintenance and general upkeep of the Carl Zeiss SBE, LLC E-Beam process tools located at customer sites.

The position will be entail the following:

Frequent interaction with customers with goal of providing world class customer service
Troubleshooting all tool errors and making appropriate tool repairs
Reporting of all tool issues and utilization of all parts and associated labor for daily activities in a series of company reports
Position will be field based in Pleasanton, CA and tied to one or more customers
Engineer will be on-site at customer location each day to support as per the contractual support obligations Carl Zeiss SBE, LLC has with its customers
Requires travel (approximately 75%), including internationally. More frequent travel will be required in approximately the first year of the position to attend training.
Extensive technical experience working in a semiconductor clean room environment (FAB) adhering to all specific customer cleanroom protocols
Working with and around laser systems and potentially hazardous chemistries
Extensive training (both on the job and at our factory in Germany) is required.
Strong physical exertion with the ability to stand for long periods, kneel, stoop, lay and the ability to lift 50lbs
Technical degree is preferred
2 or more years experience as a field based service engineer supporting complex E-Beam systems preferably in the semiconductor industry
Experience working in a semiconductor FAB environment is required.
