3M is seeking a Software Development Interns for the summer of 2019 for the Health Information Systems Division located in Murray, UT.

An internship is a temporary position within 3M. Interns typically work a full-time schedule throughout a 10-14 week assignment starting in May of 2019.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience in object orientated programing and development in technologies for example but not limited to (C#, JAVA, C++, .NET, NLP, ML, SQL, relational database, SQL Server, Perl,  Selenium, JavaScript and interest in automation)         

  • Performing software development and testing

  • Participate on engineering design teams

  • Work across the entire product development life cycle

  • Communicating results in both oral and written form

  • Working in an Agile and Scrum environment

Basic Qualifications:


  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university

  • Currently possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience developing software using Microsoft Technology stack

  • Familiarity with Transact-SQL

  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server / ALM

  • Experience developing WPF applications

  • Exposure to software development lifecycle

  • Good communication skills, with the proven ability to present complex ideas and to document technical artifacts in a clear, concise way

  • Experience with web applications and technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)

  • Experience with one or more JavaScript framework (Angular, React, JQuery)

  • Experience with one or more compiled language (C#, Java, C++)

  • Willingness and ability to push the boundaries of constraints to find creative solutions

  • Experience working in an Agile environment with a commitment to test automation

  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks (JUnit, Boost, Selenium)

  • Knowledge of cloud hosting
