Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the application of Lean Principles and Methods, across business segments or functional areas. 

  • Drive business toward improved waste elimination, in manufacturing and business processes within a process change controlled/regulatory environment. 

  • Convert site strategy goals into Lean actions – lead and follow-up on the conversion of batch processing to lean practices. 

  • Cultivate an environment that encourages lean thinking and consideration of customer impact. 

  • Work with Heraeus leadership to identify opportunities, create and execute action plans, follow-up and assure achievement of enterprise goals.

  • Develop others on Lean principles and tools for implementing innovative  solutions for system and process improvements.  Mentor others in lean concepts and promote the lean culture in the organization (ie; Standard work, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, Ergonomics, SMED, 5S, Poka-yoke, KANBAN, Rapid Kaizen Improvement Events)

What is Required for this Role

  • Education and/or Experience: BA/BS or Business degree required.  MBA or MS preferred.   Minimum 3 - 7 yrs lean manufacturing experience (medical manufacturing preferred).  2 – 5 years in a lean leadership role a must.   Experience in Medical Device or other regulated industry desired

  • Business Process Redesign experience preferred

  • Ability to respectfully delivery candid feedback to all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated leadership ability to obtain results and influence others to meet strategic objectives and work cross-functionally in the organization.  

  • Must be self directed and have the ability to work independently.   

  • Thorough understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.   

  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement.

  • Ability to teach and facilitate groups using data for decision making.   

  • Strong interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills.
