Your Role & Responsibilities
Provide leadership in the application of Lean Principles and Methods, across business segments or functional areas.
Drive business toward improved waste elimination, in manufacturing and business processes within a process change controlled/regulatory environment.
Convert site strategy goals into Lean actions – lead and follow-up on the conversion of batch processing to lean practices.
Cultivate an environment that encourages lean thinking and consideration of customer impact.
Work with Heraeus leadership to identify opportunities, create and execute action plans, follow-up and assure achievement of enterprise goals.
Develop others on Lean principles and tools for implementing innovative solutions for system and process improvements. Mentor others in lean concepts and promote the lean culture in the organization (ie; Standard work, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, Ergonomics, SMED, 5S, Poka-yoke, KANBAN, Rapid Kaizen Improvement Events)
What is Required for this Role
Education and/or Experience: BA/BS or Business degree required. MBA or MS preferred. Minimum 3 - 7 yrs lean manufacturing experience (medical manufacturing preferred). 2 – 5 years in a lean leadership role a must. Experience in Medical Device or other regulated industry desired
Business Process Redesign experience preferred
Ability to respectfully delivery candid feedback to all levels of the organization
Demonstrated leadership ability to obtain results and influence others to meet strategic objectives and work cross-functionally in the organization.
Must be self directed and have the ability to work independently.
Thorough understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement.
Ability to teach and facilitate groups using data for decision making.
Strong interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills.
