The Senior Manager will lead a team of case managers acting a resource and coach for her/his team in all aspects of the case manager's role. The SM will be responsible for assuring plans of action are appropriate for identified barriers. She/He will also assure that the team remains in compliance with all Pharmacovigilent processes to timely report adverse events in an effort to maintain safety of Alexion approved therapies. It is expected that the SM will act as a role model for the OneSource Case Manager Program, always demonstrating integrity with internal and external customer interactions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Leads Case Managers in the development and implementation of plans to meet patient needs through education, access and treatment support
Provide support to Case Managers when barriers to care are identified, such as, insufficient funding, provider and/or payer issues
Maintain a moderate patient case load

Provide guidance to Case Managers to assure compliance with the Alexion Ways of Working across internal constituents, e.g. Medical and Commercial stakeholders.
Present as needed at Alexion sponsored meetings or Healthcare Provider offices regarding the OneSource CM Program; assist in the design and implementation of departmental processes and special projects
Ensures team compliance with all Alexion policies and procedures.
Complete required Global Training (including but not limited to PharmacoVigilance training (PV) and Compliance) with demonstrated adherence to timeframe of completion of trainings and execution of requirements under the regulations
Background in healthcare and case management in hospital/insurance setting or bio-pharma industry with 3-5 years
Proficiency/knowledge in health insurance benefits, relevant state and federal laws and insurance regulations
Strong communication, problem solving, and presentation skills
Ability to handle sensitive issues with opposing opinions, work in cross functional environment
Computer and internet research literacy
Ability to travel required, up to 30%
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care/Life Sciences/Nursing
