Position Description

The Receptionist performs general receptionist tasks and supports other areas of the office as needed.

Responsibilities


  • Answer telephone and disperse calls.

  • Arrange conference calls as required.

  • Greet guests.

  • Coordinate luncheons as required.

  • Open daily mail and disperse to proper department.

  • Prepare & post outgoing mail.

  • File; sort completed pick lists, disperse or file in Sales files.

  • Post receipts for purchasing and data entry.

  • Replenish coffee and kitchen supplies as necessary.

  • Order and inventory general office supplies.

  • Assist and support other areas of office as time permits.

  • All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.

  • All GLC employees are expected to produce and promote our products and services in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills


  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to make decisions based on standard practices.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize needs.

  • Emit pleasant, helpful, and professional demeanor and dress.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills


  • 1 year of general office experience or more.

  • SAP experience.

Working Conditions


  • Work is performed in an office setting.

  • Occasional exposure to industrial operations (temperatures, noise, moisture, moving machinery).
