About the department you will work in:
The ePharmacy team believes when technology is used appropriately it enables long term care community staff to be more effective and efficient in delivering care. Our role is to ensure integrations are safe all the way through to the resident. We strive to make every integration as seamless as possible.
In this role you will:
Develop and Manage projects to connect care facility electronic health records systems with pharmacy systems.
Lead project team to the delivery of successful project outcomes
Collaborate with customers and internal resources to resolve issues that arise within integrations and ePharmacy software
Perform system health checks and monitor eMAR effectiveness
Schedule, organize, and perform eHR integration training sessions
Research, troubleshoot and respond to concerns from care facilities
Use strong health informatics disciplines to ensure that connected systems are operating safely
Keep ePharmacy policy and procedures, guides and technical documentation up to date
Perform certification testing and documentation for existing and new eMAR, eHR, and other systems
Perform root cause analysis and process improvement plans

In this role you will be expected to:
Demonstrate excellent record with time management and setting appropriate priorities. Demonstrated ability to manage QA plan and execute projects, organize and track data/metrics
Work independently and as part of a team; capable of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of individuals from a variety of internal departments, vendors, Pharmacy Management and facility staff
Travel to care facilities, as necessary, with potential overnight stays
Work a schedule that is conducive to the needs of the ePharmacy department with extended hours if necessary
Lead a group, serve as a mentor and/or facilitator, and create a positive work environment
Perform other duties as assigned
LPN or Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
Some Project Management Experience
Must take a detailed-driven, trackable approach to data and successfully complete projects in timely manner
Ability to assess situations and prioritize work flow
Experience with Electronic Health Records
Understanding of the requirements imposed on pharmacy customers by State, Local and Federal agencies
Experience with clinical software applications sufficient to determine specifications and training needs
Ability to develop and provide instruction regarding clinical software applications is preferred
