The Sr Statistical Analyst for Driven Brands will support the data scientist, economist and brand marketing teams through reliable forecasts and marketing performance analysis that guides data driven business decisions across a portfolio of brands.
Build statistical models to identify drivers of sales across multiple brands across geographies. This includes data collection from third parties, creation and preparation of datasets to build multiple refreshable models using macroeconomic, marketing, operations, customer satisfaction and weather data.
Maintain a database of macroeconomic variables used for market analysis; work with the economist on industry growth forecasts and identify markets that have growth/expansion opportunity
Work with Business Development to identify growth opportunities for expansion across the brand portfolio
Leverage various types of customer segmentation models to enhance targeting efforts and drive measurable results
Synthesize data from multiple sources, organize, cleanse and interpret data, identify patterns, measure success of marketing campaigns
Form conclusions and actionable insights, present findings in a concise manner to management
Evaluate opportunities to improve speed and accuracy of data collection; work with the data scientist to enhance existing processes via advanced analytical methods
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Advanced Analytics or relevant field
Preferred 1-3 years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of various modeling techniques such as linear and logistic regression, time series forecasting, ARIMA, discriminant modeling, clustering
Experience with data analysis tools and software (R, Python, SPSS, SAS etc.) and querying languages (SQL)
Familiarity with government data – Census, BLS, BEA etc.
Ability to translate econometric concepts into business opportunity
Ability to work with large, complex, and disparate data (cleansing, connecting and analyzing)
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities against multiple deadlines
Ability to work effectively across internal teams
Ability to communicate/present to senior level managers
