V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Scala Developer for our premier client in Bentonville, Arkansas. This is a 6-month contract position in the IT services industry.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Education and Experience »


  • Hands-on coding for production experience with Django and/or Play Framework and/or Spray

  • Hands-on coding for production experience in Python and/or Scala

  • Hands-on coding experience for algorithms and bespoke data structures

  • Hands-on experience building performant backend services/REST API/middleware/REST interfaces

  • Relevant coding and production experience with NoSQL and SQL databases

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities »


  • Understand unfamiliar code bases, and debug server-side, multi-threaded, and highly scalable applications

  • Maintain commercial application in production using Docker and Kubernetes

  • Design core, backend software components

  • Assess and (re)design services that consume and produce data (both batch and real-time)

  • Interface with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa

  • Conduct design and code reviews

  • Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of various system resources

  • Drive architecture decision based on designated criteria
