State Street Corporation seeks a Junior Credit Analyst to join its Leveraged Loan group. The Leveraged Loan group is a global team responsible for managing the bank’s $5 billion allocation to Leveraged Loans. The Junior Credit Analyst will be located in Boston and will be an important member of the team and will provide support to the Senior Credit Analysts.

The Junior Analysts’ responsibilities include:
Create financial models including historical and forecasted financials and cash flows for all of the issuers in the loan portfolio. These models are used for new issue/secondary due diligence and surveillance analysis.
Incorporate revenue/margin/balance sheet/working capital analysis into forecasted financials.
Maintain the model template and update with process improvements.
Provide support with industry, company, and valuation analysis during the due diligence and surveillance processes.
Prepare and maintain model ratings for all parent/borrower structures in the portfolio. These ratings are used for reserve calculations and are a part of the credit quality analysis of the portfolio.
Work with internal stakeholders to ensure all model ratings supplied are appropriate for the borrower and have adequate backup supplied.
Continue to work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement new modelling tools for the loan portfolio.
Prepare monthly and quarterly loan surveillance presentations.
Includes working closely with the senior analysts, and other internal stakeholders to ensure all market and portfolio information is up-to-date and in-line with prior surveillance presentations and Credit Appetite Proposal (CAP) submissions.
Prepare and analyze issuers to provide financial metrics and ratios for the entire portfolio and on an individual issuer basis.
Develop and prepare daily and weekly pricing, industry and agent bank breakdown, and rating distribution reports on the portfolio. Develop and prepare ad hoc reports and information as necessary.
Work with outside Bloomberg/Capital IQ reps and internal technology to develop portfolio analysis and tracking tools.
Attend trainings and meet with representatives to stay fresh on newly developed Bloomberg/Capital IQ Loan functionality.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years relevant experience with strong excel skills and analytical abilities.
Educational requirements include B.A./B.S. with some coursework in accounting required.
