Job Description:

The Finance Associate II serves as the financial coordinator for the center and supervises the financial operation with a variety of funding sources, including state contracts, federal grants and fee-for-services activities. Some travel required. The Center Financial Administrator reports to the Center Director and serves as a member of the center's leadership team.

Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:

  • 18-36 months in Accounting, Business Administration or related field

Skills:


  • Knowledge of standard bookkeeping and accounting procedures

  • Advanced excel skills with ability to build and manipulate spreadsheets

  • Able to understand a chart of accounts and code entries to proper account

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines

  • Strong initiative to solve problems

  • Ability to understand, create and modify Excel formulas

  • Ability to prepare and monitor budgets

  • Ability to create a collaborative relationship with internal and external customer

  • Ability to communicate financial data through tabular reports and narratives

  • Must be able to perform basic data analysis

  • Must be able to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations

  • Proficient in copy writing, editing, proofreading and composition

Departmental Preferences:


  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Business Administration or related field

  • 37 months experience in Accounting, Business Administration or related field

  • 12 months of supervisory/management experience

  • Familiar with OU Systems: Crimson Corner, PeopleSoft, Taleo and Concur

  • Experience with QuickBooks

  • 12 months project management experience including data analysis and reporting writing

  • Financial or accounting experience to include analysis, budgeting and reporting.

Supervision: 1-5 Staff
