Emblematic of our growth and sophistication, we are now seeking an motivated, highly-experienced Media Planning lead to join our team. 

The Digital Media Planner position requires collaboration with an integrated agency team to execute audience-led media strategies across various media channels and platforms. S/he will be responsible for managing, developing and helping to execute digital media plans. The ideal candidate must be able to manage day-to-day planning and analysis while maintaining strong relationships with publishers and partner agencies. At this level, s/he is expected to have the ability to work more independently, working with his/her supervisors on strategy and less so of being the tactician.

Some of the responsibilities:

  • Understand client business goals and marketing objectives, and translate them into digital objectives and strategies

  • Manage all aspects of media plan, including development, campaign activation and maintenance, and post campaign reporting

  • Demonstrate strategic thought leadership in strategies and tactics being recommended

  • Ensure accurate execution, including issuing insertion orders, tracking spec development and implementation, custom unit production, and billing reconciliation

  • Ensure budget consistency across all relevant systems and reconcile monthly budget tracker

  • Handle any client requests such as plan changes or budget changes, and provide marketplace information

  • Analyze, simplify and present complex data and insights to account teams and clients

  • Utilize 3rd party research tools to develop target consumer profiles and identify strategic buying opportunities

  • Assist in formulating, writing and presenting campaign media recommendations

  • Investigate creative, innovative approaches to strategically reach the target consumer and provide regular POVs and media recommendations to integrated internal team, and clients

  • Work with Analytics team to monitor, analyze and report on campaign results and make regular recommendation on how to optimize campaign performance. 

  • Help build the storyline of how the campaign performed in relation to the planned media strategy

  • Ensure a good working relationship with account and client teams to facilitate flawless execution of plans

  • Evaluate new advertising opportunities and stay abreast of trends in digital and emerging media

  • Manage multiple projects and clients at any given time

Qualifications we are seeking:

  • At least four years of relevant experience in digital or integrated media planning and/or related fields, including advertising, digital, social, native, display, and search media 

  • Required experience in programmatic, paid social and search engine marketing

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university 

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including exceptional Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Strong knowledge of all planning/ad serving tools (comScore, DFA, Facebook Ads Manager, etc.)

  • Proven track record of planning complex or large-spend digital programs 

  • Strong mathematic, analytical and financial management skills

  • In-depth knowledge of media planning best practices and processes

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and written and oral communications skills

  • Ability to adapt to new conditions, deadlines and assignments 

  • A strong work ethic and the ability to provide quality work to clients and teams
