We’re looking for an amazing Group Creative Director to lead our growing Experience Design team of creative thinkers, designers, technologists and subculture enthusiasts. This candidate comes loaded with kindness, leadership, motivation, experience, optimism, a well of creative ideas and is obsessed with emerging technology (both hardware and software). We’re looking for a candidate that can build on our existing portfolio of prototypes, platforms and activations that strategically drive social engagement and conversation. The ideal candidate can jump in and lead a project from pitch to development to execution. You believe in designing interactive experiences that are rooted in strategy and make thoughtful use of technology. This role allows for tremendous growth, entrepreneurial spirit and collaboration across all disciplines and specialties within the Edelman global network.   

Here’s what you will be responsible for...


  • Designing innovative campaigns that live at the intersection of digital and physical.

  • Managing, leading, recruiting and cultivating ideas from a team of creative thinkers, designers and technologists. But don’t be fooled, we’re not just looking for a manager, we want someone who can jump in an get their hands dirty – be it design, copy, strategy, analytics, creative coding or being on-site during a live activation.

  • Having a strong presence, credible point of view and ability to help articulate creative ideas to an audience of consumers, executives and anyone in-between.

  • Ensuring overall strategy and creativity achieve the benchmarks established by Edelman.

  • Contribute toward department growth and staffing decisions on NY Digital opportunities.

  • Be proactive in sharing best practices and being an ambassador for both Edelman Digital and Edelman at large. 

Basic Qualifications

The Group Creative Director must have at least 10 years of relevant experience in creative, advertising or making magic. A non-traditional background is encouraged but don’t forget to impress us with your strong understanding of experiential marketing, creative advertising and emerging technologies. We’re looking for strong candidates who believe attention must be earned (from people, in traditional media, everywhere).
