If so, 3M is seeking a Communications Content Specialist for its US Subsidiary Marketing Communications team within the Medical Solutions Division located in Maplewood, MN.

In this role, the candidate will serve as a content specialist, responsible for localizing marketing communications content across multiple US care settings. The successful candidate will ensure that the Medical Solutions Division (MSD) story and branded campaigns and associated materials embrace and reflect the company’s reputation and vision across all communication touch points. The successful candidate will need to find creative ways to engage and reach both existing and new US customers and establish MSD as a thought leader in the US market. The candidate’s key responsibility will be developing and executing communication solutions to build awareness and engagement especially via digital channels to grow the MSD brand, business and sales.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Collaborate with marketing communications staff, marketers and the development team to create digital and traditional solutions that engage our customers and support top division priority communication campaigns, digital advertising and marketing automation programs
Write and edit content for multichannel publishing including web, social, mobile, email, online advertising, print, PPC, and interactive tools such as video, animations and applets; coordinate the copy approvals for those materials; ensure content supports best practices for each channel
Create social/digital editorial calendar and the associated content to support campaigns, and collaborate with partners on all facets of content execution, budget management and performance
Write and edit content for division’s internal communications to engage employees
Measure the effectiveness of programs and tactics delivered to customers. Analyze metrics to recommend and implement adjustments to campaigns/content to improve results that impact the business results
Collaborate with marketing, technical service, clinical, regulatory and legal partners to ensure alignment of program communication execution. Recommend and manage project plans with external agency/vendor partners for delivery of select communication tactics.
Manage external creative resources
Ensure alignment of materials to corporate and business brand strategy and identity
Manage advertising/merchandise budget
Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in digital communications in a private, public, government, or military environment
Minimum of two (2) combined years of experience with demand generation, social media campaign management, marketing automation, and/or segment marketing in a private, public, government, or military environment
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university in Communications, Advertising, Marketing, Journalism, or Public Relations
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a digital, advertising or public relations agency
Minimum of one (1) year of experience developing digital, multimedia and print content
Health care industry experience or experience in a regulated industry environment
Experience in B2B communications
Experience creating content optimized for SEO/SEM
Strong project management experience working closely with internal teams, managing tight timetables and multiple projects simultaneously
Experience executing and managing multi-faceted communication initiatives including: websites, mobile applications, promotional campaigns/events, marketing automation programs, social media including blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and/or LinkedIn
Strong written, verbal and digital communication skills
Proficiency with Adobe Analytics, or equivalent, understanding of Google AdWords, SEO and CPC
An understanding of key performance indicators for digital campaigns and how to effectively track and measure ROI
Familiarity with Salesforce and Eloqua platforms
Must be self-starter, self-motivated, deadline focused and have strong skills in multi-tasking
Exceptional inter-personal skills, including writing, editing and verbal communication skills
Willingness to have fun, think creatively and thrive in fast-paced business environment
