Responsibilities

Hexagon PPM is seeking a highly motivated individual for a senior level Consultant position to lead and conduct Quality Assurance and Support activities for Hexagon Information Management products. Candidate considered for employment within the PPM Global Support and Quality Assurance organization must be well-rounded, self-motivated, and team players. Candidate must be able to adapt quickly, by learning methodologies and technologies through formal and ad-hoc training as well as on-the-job training. The candidate will function as the team's quality advocate and be working with experienced product owners, developers and software architects to evaluate designs and solutions, to perform requirements analysis and to provide solutions in the design, development, integration, implementation, deployment, and support for information management products.

The candidate is considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conducts complex work linked to organizational goals. Works under minimal supervision and requires the use of independent judgment and the application software principals, theories, and concepts. The ideal candidate will also mentor junior project team members.

Quality Assurance: Analyze and test software to ensure that products meets fit for purpose and are within total quality management limits and standards. Participate actively in the entire software development life cycle. Develop quality standards through participation in initial software development stages. Test software in later stages of development for reliability and accuracy. Document test processes and outcomes. Communicate with product owners, product developers and technical support specialists on software issues. Analyze data and communicate test results with multiple levels of the PPM organization. Create and execute automated and manual procedures and test scenarios based on software architecture. May include consulting and training. May develop customized test procedures for the organization's products. Accurately documenting testing activities and outcomes.

Customer Support: Provide internal assistance to Support teams to troubleshoot and resolve technically complex customer issues. Interact with product owners, development and quality assurance teams to give feedbacks, discuss design issues, investigate problems, and develop solutions to meet the technological needs of end users. Develops technical documents and instructions. May also directly assist clients on escalated support tickets for highly complex technical issues when first-line product support teams have not succeeded in isolating and resolving issue. Interpersonal skills; adept at solving internal and external customer situations. Accurately documenting activities and outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, with 8+ years of related industrial or quality control testing experience.

In-depth knowledge with SP Foundation and Information Management tools is preferred; experience with Integration and S3D/2D/Visualization products is a plus. Skill set that includes direct experience in software testing, scripting, how to manually test software for bugs, with Information Management and Integration domain knowledge. The applicant must have a working knowledge of Windows OS, database concepts, and Agile software development methodology (scrum).
