The Market Data Analyst supports the Leadership Team, Strategic Marketing and Product Management organizations through the analysis and communication of market and competitive intelligence data. A successful candidate will develop actionable insights that can be used to drive strategic and tactical decisions, value propositions, and targeted marketing strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform market and competitor analysis including market size, trends, growth, and segmentation
Build quantified models of addressable markets by segment, including monetization potential
Identify, monitor, and interpret key global trends for Arthrex and the medical device industry
Assess and communicate Arthrex and competitor market share across all geographies
Assist in the creation of Senior Management presentations and market intelligence dashboards for enterprise wide consumption
Create and update competitor profiles, latest news/developments, and market positioning
Update, correct, and revise existing market research
Evaluate current and recommend new market intelligence sources
Assess and predict market data needs throughout the organization to efficiently match investment to outcome
Maintain and update market intelligence databases and information delivery platforms
Generate monthly market intelligence newsletter highlighting key industry and analyst reports
Work closely with Strategic Marketing and Product Management on strategies, market assessments, and product planning
Build relationships across key stakeholder groups internally and externally with the medical device industry market research and analytics vendors

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Information/Data Science, Marketing, Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field is required.
Master’s Degree or other advanced degree is a plus.
3 years of experience in market research, analytics, or data driven business development is required.
Orthopedic industry experience is preferred.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Strong excel skills, SQL expertise, and/or Power BI experience
Excellent writing and presentation skills
Strong analytical skills with experience in financial, economic, and market analysis
Ability to present results in an articulate manner and field resulting questions comfortably
Ability to review, analyze, and summarize large quantities of information into key points
Self-starter with initiative and ability to drive projects to completion
