Job Description

Flex is seeking a forward-thinking Director, Global Learning to join our Global Talent Management & Talent Development team. This team is responsible for developing integrated processes and solutions that identify, develop and engage our talent in alignment with Flex’s business goals. The Director of Global Learning will be responsible for our global learning strategy; ensuring that content and delivery is engaging, fun and most importantly builds those capabilities needed to enable our success. This role will be based in our San Jose, CA or Austin, TX locations.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do…


  • Develop, manage, deliver and monitor instructor-led and computer- based training programs and tools to build skills at all levels that enable a high performing organization. Design global curriculum and determine when adjustments need to be made based on changes in the business and/or regional needs.  

  • Partner with the business, regions, and HR business partners/ talent management to understand skill requirements to enable Flex employees to continue to grow. Identify and determine strategies to address operational and strategic business objectives.

  • Create scalable, agile solutions that include a blended approach to learning, combining eLearning, microlearning, classroom training, coaching, etc. 

  • Manage Train-the-Trainer / Facilitator Certification strategy and process globally.

  • Own and evolve the learning technologies strategy, including maximizing usage of the Workday Learning Management System (LMS) and partnering with HRIS to support change management efforts for each new implementation or system update.

  • Support and monitor the implementation of new courses, course enrollments, and learning path updates for new and existing employees.

  • Measure program/solution effectiveness by partnering in the development and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and comparing and reporting results against expected KPIs.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required)…


  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role with a Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Organization Development or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Instructional design/ curriculum development experience with a focus on experiential learning. Proficient knowledge of effective adult learning and development methods.

  • Proven experience managing a Learning & Development portfolio consisting of multiple program work streams.

  • Experience with LMS administration, implementation and online curriculum. Knowledge of emerging learning technologies and methodologies a plus.

  • Exceptional project management skills, independent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to manage complexity and work with global stakeholders to achieve business results.

  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, as well as strong facilitation skills with a variety of audiences.

  • Some domestic and international travel required.
