Sr. Project Engineer Join a team recognized for leadership, innovation and diversity
This position provides project management and technical leadership for the development of Air & Thermal Systems (ATS) components and subsystems. Responsibilities include participation in multi-site and multi-disciplinary teams to develop systems & technical solutions for a variety of commercial and government programs. Develop components and subsystems using state-of-the-art and Honeywell best practices methodology, and lead implementation of program plans. Plan, manage, and coordinate component/subsystem integration and demonstration activities. Develop prototype (test article) concepts and formulate component development requirements. Participate in component/subsystem design, optimization, fabrication, and testing. Identify and implement plans to resolve technical issues/challenges. Interact with internal/external customers, subcontractors, and vendors. Prepare technical progress reports, project reviews/presentations, and contribute to proposal efforts. Support ATS component/subsystem technology roadmaps for next generation aircrafts and development effort. YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree in a Science or Engineering discipline
5 years of aerospace hardware development experience
M.S. or advanced degree
General knowledge and experience performing systems engineering functions in support of developing air & thermal systems and equipment against tight schedule constraints
Capable of working closely with various Honeywell sites and sub-tier suppliers, as well as the customer
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience with and knowledge of Honeywell Technology Readiness Assessment, IPDS, and Aerospace Policies and Guidelines
Component/subsystem development expertise with emphasis on heat transfer, actuation, aircraft systems, and air and vapor cycle subsystems
Advanced Technology mindset, and intelligent risk taker, & ability to take initiative, communicate effectively, and work across globally distributed teams in a fast-paced environment
