Job Description:

Position Summary:
The Department of Religious Studies is seeking an Administrative Services Coordinator. This position serves as the main office administrator/contact for the Department of Religious Studies; providing office support for faculty, staff and students as well as maintaining department's web page, digital sign, and Facebook page.

Key duties include:
• Provide administrative and academic support for the Department of Religious Studies.
• Manage department's general expense account; prepare payments, reconcile monthly financial; work with University Shared Services to reconcile procurement card statements, research and resolve discrepancies.
• Serve as graduate admissions support and contact.
• Maintain department's website; update on a regular basis, check and fix broken links, upload updated documents, create new content.
• Serve as liaison to faculty, staff, students, alumni and public which requires knowledge of departmental, College and University policies, procedures and protocol to direct appropriate referrals.
• Prepare and administer correspondence to graduate student applicants, Walker Scholarship applicants, and other individuals with general inquiries. Education Required: A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience Required:
• Office administrative experience (typically six months to one year) and the demonstrated ability to carry out ongoing office administration tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Working knowledge of and ability to use office support tools available on the desktop (e.g., calendaring, word processing, e-mail, database, presentation software and spreadsheets).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as demonstrated at the working proficiency level.
Experience Highly Desired:
• Basic experience working with University systems (e.g. Workflow, MAUI and eBuy) is desirable.

Experience Desired:
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse individuals with patience and flexibility (working proficiency) Ability to work and collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated working ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation. Demonstrates high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience updating and creating content for web pages
• Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and regulations (basic proficiency)
