Position Summary:
The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at the University of Iowa is looking for an Administrative Services Coordinator. This position serves as the contact for the main office and provides administrative support to the Departmental Executive Office, Administrator, and Faculty.

Education Required:

  • A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 months demonstrated working experience in an administrative office support role.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to use office support tools available on the desktop (e.g., calendaring, word processing, e-mail, presentation software and spreadsheets).
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to transmit, receive, and interpret ideas, information, and needs effectively through telephone, email, and in person with a variety of people who may include faculty, staff, students, visitors and clinic patients.
  • Understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail and ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a clinical environment.
  • Experience working with medical record system such as EPIC.
  • Working ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Working knowledge of University policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute events and to coordinate resources before, during and after an event.
