Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Director and the direction of the pharmacists, assists in the distributive function of the department by performing order entry, prescription preparation, compounding, narcotic control, inventory management, preparation and distribution of pharmaceuticals including IV admixture preparation. Performs the duties of technician in specialty areas as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Required: High School graduate or equivalent
Preferred: At least one year of hospital experience as a Pharmacy Technician and/or enrolled in undergraduate Pharmacy program
Required: Current Pharmacy Technician Registration with the State Board of Pharmacy. Sterile Products Certification through the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP).
