Position Summary: The Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) will support the mission of NSMC by providing a comforting environment for patients and their families. The CNA will assist in patient care under the supervision of an RN, and in accordance to the patient care standards. The CNA performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at NSMC. The CNA must be certified, enjoy working with patients and families, have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to take direction from staff. They must have the capacity to foster a positive work environment, be professional and display positive support of NSMC as well as the entire HealthONE organization. The CNA cares for infants through geriatric patients.
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Colorado certification as Nursing Assistant. Current BCLS certification.
B. Education: High School diploma or equivalent
C. Experience: 1-2 year s acute care experience desirable
D. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates good organizational skills. Performs procedures safely and
accurately within standards of practice. Displays appropriate judgement and problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers. Maintains patient confidentiality.
