Location: Newington, Connecticut
Supports Manufacturing operations by developing, editing & updating programming for CNC manufacturing equipment utilizing CAD/CAM programs such as Unigraphics (UG) NX 7.
Develops, edits, and updates CNC programs to support manufacturing operations.
Programming technical resource and supports Management, Engineering, Quality and Production personnel.
Responsible for proving out new and existing CNC programs certifying them for production use.
Provides technical assistance to Production personnel as required and may train operators.
Maintains equipment and program proficiency through continuous education and hands on applications.
Promote changes supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in Six Sigma, Kaizen and other Lean Manufacturing programs and philosophies.
May perform other Engineering functions as assigned.
Minimum 3 years’ experience with UG NX applications required
Mechanical, Manufacturing Technology, or other technical Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Must be able to handle multiple assignments and work with minimal supervision.
Must interact effectively with internal customers; i.e. all levels of management, engineering and shop personnel.
Must take pride in the quality of work and pay strong attention to detail.
Computer literacy required.
