JOB SUMMARY: Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships: Provide consultation and support services in instructional design, strategies, assessment, technology, and distributed learning for instructional development projects. MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities): 1. Coordinates instructional design projects from inception to completion; enters data into database, and maintains files and records. 2. Consults with training staff and business units on instructional design and learning objectives. 3. Assists in the development of instructional strategies, course materials, assessment techniques, appropriate integration of instructional technologies and best practices. 4. Designs and produces learning materials in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, animation and multimedia to support training needs. 5. Provides assistance to trainers in technology tools and methods, use of instructional software, and effective uses of multimedia. 6. Researches and makes recommendations on training best practices, instructional resources, instructional technologies and multimedia hardware/software to support learning. 7. Designs, develops, and delivers workshops and training to staff in the use of instructional technologies and educational best practices; maintains records. 8. Facilitates curriculum development sessions, documents findings, and writes reports.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education & Experience Required: * Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience required. Basic knowledge of the electric and natural gas industry preferred. * Has knowledge of adult learning techniques is required. * Has some knowledge on ADDIE, SAM and/or AGILE. * Has experience working with e-learning platforms such as but not limited to Lectora or Captivate is required. * Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is desired. * Experience working in a formal management system is desirable. Skills/Abilities: * Effective written and verbal communications skills. * Able to design, effectively deliver and implement training programs. * Skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Power Point and Excel, along with SAP.
