The Principal Supply Chain Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with various levels of supply chain customers and IT peers. The objective of the role will be to work with new and existing supply chain business initiatives to understand, document, design and develop business intelligence and analytics solutions to support the goals of these initiatives.

  • Develops, configures, models, tests, and documents business-intelligence databases, ETL, reporting solutions, and analytics applications, which conform to defined architecture standards, and that address MITG supply-chain business requirements and processes.

    MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 7+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree

  • Deep knowledge of SAP, relational databases (BW, Hana, Oracle, SQL Server, S3, PostgreSQL), ETL (Informatica), and reporting tools (PowerBI, Business Objects)

  • Deep supply-chain domain expertise

  • Proactively work with key supply chain customers and/or vendors associated with new and existing business initiatives to understand, shape, agree and deliver Business Intelligence and Analytics requirements/solutions

  • Design and deliver fundamentals of business analytics to support long term needs, such as: data architecture, database design and creation, ETL, and reporting solutions/analytics

  • Confirm that Medtronic's systems and the information on them are protected in accordance with Medtronic's Information Protection Policies and Standards, as well as best Information Protection practices


  • Some Python programming experience. Neo4J, JavaScript, CSS strongly preferred

  • Ability to interface with business users to capture business and technical requirements

  • Ability to lead small- to medium-sized BI analysis and development projects (analyze, plan, do)

  • Collaborate with Global IT Team to develop data management strategies to support MITG requirements
