Anka is looking for kind and enthusiastic Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to join our team at Casa Oakview Residential Eating Disorder treatment facility in Lafayette, Ca.
Casa Oakview is a Residential Eating Disorder Program that supports the needs of adolescents recovering from Eating Disorders. Unlike programs that are held in a psychiatric unit or hospital-like facility, Casa Oakview provides a safe, home-like environment for our clients to recover. A maximum of six individuals are served at any given time and participate in a highly structured recovery program that teach skills necessary to work through future challenges and re-integrate back into the community.
The days/hours: Saturday-Sunday 3pm-11pm
ABOUT THE POSITION: The LVN or LPT provide direct nursing care, supervision, and mentoring to clients in the program. In this role you can make a difference in the lives of the adolescents we serve by supporting them on their journey of recovery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In cooperation and collaboration with the Program Administrator and clinical team, the LVN / LPT will:
EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year experience in mental health work, preferably in a residential setting preferred. If no residential experience we will train. Prior experience with eating disorders is a bonus.
LICENSE: Must have possession of LVN/LPT license issued by the California Board of Psychiatric Technician Examiners or Board of Vocational Nurses.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have valid California Driver's License; good driving record. Proof of current auto insurance and must meet insurability requirements of Anka insurance carrier.
