At the HPE R&D Storage Networking team in Andover, MA, we are looking for exceptional individuals to join our team and deliver SAN Management technologies and automation.
Specifically, we are looking for highly technical, motivated and proactive technologist to own and drive software development around Storage Networking protocols.
Position Description: Senior Storage Networking - NVMe Engineer
Lead software development in Agile/Scrum environment with short cycles
Experience with NVMe over RDMA protocol, flash/NAND technologies/interfaces, OS driver development is a huge plus for this role
Support the product roadmap and lead the future deliverables.
Support HPE internal cross-functional efforts, including joint work with SW Development, SQA, HPE partners and Customer Support
Communicate effectively with HPE business partners and influence the future storage networking technology design and SAN tools
Continuously improve development process resulting in continuous quality and predictability improvement.
Ph.d. or Master’s degree in EE, CS, ME or equivalent, with several years of experience with NVME Technology
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Extensive R&D experience, including understanding of PCIe NVME technology, software design and implementation
Deep knowledge of storage technologies and applications
Proficiency in C/C++, Java, JSON, REST API, Web Socket and scripting languages such as Python/shell
Experience in web development framework, Jetty, PostgreSQL, NoSQL
Ability to influence suppliers and manage technical activities at suppliers.
Ability to critically assess drive designs
Working knowledge of PCIe, Fibre Channel and iSCSI
Able to think outside the box and discover innovative solutions for complex drive issues.
Comfortable working cross functionally with external vendors, manufacturing, hardware, software, test, and marketing.
Demonstrated process improvement skills
Strong personal leadership skills
Linux USER space IO Device Driver development and debug with SPDK & DPDK.
Detailed knowledge of NVME over Fabrics and SAN tools development
Experience with Ethernet protocols like RoCE, DCB and ECN
Demonstrated skills in partner management
Strong presentation skills
