About Applications Development at UPS Technology:

Our Application Development teams use their expertise in programming languages and software design to develop next-generation technology. They are responsible for developing the applications which track and move up to 38 million packages in a single day (4.7 billion annually). This team works closely with all of our customers to build innovative technologies that are customized to drive our business and provide the ultimate customer experience. As a member of the applications development family, you will help UPS grow and provide valuable services across the globe.

About this role:

The Intermediate Applications Developer will provide input and support for, and perform full system life cycle development activities.  He/She will participate in the component and data architecture design initiatives to implement business requirements.  This position will provide input to applications development project plans and integrations.  He/She will collaborate with teams to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives.  This position will provide knowledge and support for applications development, integration and maintenance.  He/She must be strong with object oriented design and implementation as well as possess strong written and verbal communications skills.  He/She must be self-motivated and have experience estimating work and communicating the detail in support of that estimate.  Must have good interpersonal skills and must work well within a team environment.  He/She must be a highly motivated individual that strives to stay current in technology, adhere to standards and focus on strategic direction for the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience with C#.NET
  • Intermediate knowledge of ADO .NET and SQL Language
  • Intermediate experience with Agile Development and Oracle PL/SQL and Stored Procedures
  • Intermediate experience using Java Script, JQuery, HTML and CSS or Angular
  • Must have good analytical skills and experience in estimating tasks is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
