The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center is in need of a Public Affairs Specialist to aid in their mission in Panama City, Florida.

Primary Objectives:


  • Develop comprehensive strategic communication plans for AFCIMSC mission areas tailored to target audiences and stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop fresh, compelling news and feature content for internal and external communication channels in alignment with the AFIMSC mission and strategic communication goals.

Communicate with stakeholders in San Antonio and at installations around the world in support of communication initiatives.

Required Skills:


  • 6+ years communications/multimedia experience
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or similar field required
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent written communication and interaction skills and possess a willingness to learn
  • Experience leveraging multiple communication platforms, including radio, web, television, social media
  • Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred
  • Photography and video production skills preferred
  • Department of Defense experience, particularly in the areas of readiness and emergency management, energy, operations, civil engineering is preferred
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug test
