Visit us at and follow us on Twitter @mindshare and and Position: Senior Director or Group Director, Operations Implementation (and Potential Global Interface) Reports To: Executive Director/Account Leader Brand Responsibility: Initial 9-12 months fully dedicated to UL; Opportunity to expand to extended timeline pending account needs Role Overview: Active and engaged member of the UL leadership team assisting with Operationalization of new ways of working across Atomic Model, Agile and RT Optimization, including process re-development, process automation, training initiatives and evaluation/acceleration of implementation across team. Also includes facilitating/coordinating large scale data requests. Details of the position include (but are not limited to): • Operationalizing new Ways of Working: Atomic staff model and Agile techniques. Educate and train teams for all new processes and ensure compliance with Agile and Atomic Ways of Working o Create and develop process flow maps for the new Atomic structure and ways of working for day-to-day client project management within and across/within teams o Compression of timelines for production of deliverables via process optimization and improved collaboration and integration across teams o Facilitate workflow through Strategy, Investment teams and analytic teams, establishing process and operational ways of working to ensure the greatest nimbleness and collaboration across teams o Lead the thinking on specific tasks for cross training “Live Marketer” skills among teams, create training materials and implement the training at each level o Identify missing skill sets required for new model. o Assess current team for appropriate skills and capabilities to meet new WOW and make recommendations for rotations where needed o Key contributor to talent assessments of UL Leadership team o Ideal but not mandatory  Institute the onboarding of Agile ways of working, utilizing classic Agile techniques such as scrums, stand-ups, sprints and retrospectives. Coach both leaders and teams on these techniques.  Create Agile training materials, programs, workshops and implement accordingly. Create internal gauges to evaluate areas for improvement o • Onboarding Search o Onboarding new vertical buying team into the account o Onboard the whole SEM practice and create new process and ways of working that integrate the team into the existing Digital Investment team as well as integrating the channel into the comms and strategic planning practice. Establish the milestones and moments when the Search leadership should be involved and create workflow that is inclusive of the right talent at the right times. o Ensure the core team is not just focused on delivering thought leadership in the way Search is integrated into the Brand plans (ie overhaul of LCP framework, traffic to vs, leverage search for 1P lead gen/collection vs drive to sites, etc) • Process Automation: seek and find multiple aspects of current planning and buying and reporting processes that can be facilitated and streamlined with automation, via either custom engineering solutions or off the shelf solutions. Digital investment data matching and processing across platforms is a primary pain point. o Potentially also id any other pain points and help collaborate on best way forward, such as key partners’ ability to provide the OTIF invoices • Global Interface: Collaborate with Global counterparts across planning, buying and finance teams to ensure all global reporting and ad hoc requests are met o Lead the compilation of US contributions to global initiatives, decks and summaries of work o Maintain all Global Trackers and interface with the global team who requests and processes them • Full funnel connector o Codify the full funnel process and build best practices and ways of working, create the optimal roadmap for bringing together the narrative and strategic treatment to disparate verticals • Longer Term role could include: o Assist with staffing and HR needs, identifying key talent needs, sourcing talent, cross discipline training agendas o Onboarding of other new initiatives Competencies • Media Skills • Understanding media concepts and terminology, fundamentals (media math, plan development, etc.) and various building blocks (television, radio, digital, etc.) Skills and Abilities • Bachelor's Degree with 8-10+ years’ work experience • From beginning to end, project manage multiple routine and unforeseen deliverables • Strong aptitude for mathematical concepts • Knowledge and expertise in data collection and management • Detail orientated • Ability to use analytical thinking to problem solve projects to deliver upon excellence • Ability to assess and pin point root cause vs symptoms and provide effective and efficient solve for all, in the simplest and least complex way possible • Ability to communicate effectively • Ability to adhere to timelines and set team expectation • Business etiquette and ethics Mindshare is an EEO/AA Employer, M/F/Disability/Veterans Non Discrimination Disclosure: We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship, age, marital status, disability, veteran status, or any other status or class protected by applicable law.
