The video journalist will play a central creative role in crafting and supporting Arthrex’s corporate communications initiatives, using compelling and authentic video-based storytelling customized for Arthrex’s various audiences and communication platforms. This role requires creative concepting, enterprise reporting, and strong writing and on-camera interviewing skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Produce original and shareable video content that showcases Arthrex’s culture and mission and aligns with overall business objectives.
Responsible for all aspects of story development from ideation to final product.
Follow appropriate guidelines and processes for video production and collaborate with media production and creative teams to ensure final product represents Arthrex’s brand and style.
Work closely with corporate journalists to strategize story ideas and content for a variety of communication initiatives and platforms.
Work closely with corporate journalists to develop news packages for Arthrex.com newsroom and promote as potential news content for relevant media and industry outlets.
Work closely with cross functional teams, internal stakeholders, external influencers and industry experts to identify, research and execute story opportunities.
Deliver timely, video-based stories and special features, as well as long-term projects, that drive company awareness, product promotion and employee engagement.
Manage a variety of special assignments, including patient testimonial videos and other video projects.
Coordinate and conduct interviews with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Assist with various PR/media relations efforts, as assigned.
Strategize and implement new formats and approaches to video content so that messages are continually delivered to key audiences in creative and unique ways.
Serve cross-functional roles within Corporate Communications as needed or assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in journalism, communications or related field
Minimum 5 years of on-camera reporting and scriptwriting experience required
Enterprise reporting experience required
Public relations and crisis communications experience preferred
Experience reporting on sports and sports-related injuries a plus
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Strong experience with public speaking and on-camera reporting
Experience coaching on-camera talent
Organizational skills and the ability to work under constant time pressure deadlines
Must be editorially strong, creative and resourceful with a demonstrated aptitude for storytelling
Established track record of creating high-volume, high-quality video content from start to finish
Exceptional time and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple stakeholders with changing priorities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience working successfully with cross-functional teams
Deadline- and detail-oriented with strong initiative and the ability to manage multiple projects/processes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Working knowledge of regulatory, compliance and legal regulations and considerations for the medical device industry
