Chevy Chase office of our client seeks family law associate attorney with 4 years of major law firm experience. The candidate should preferably have experience in litigation or estate planning. Experience working directly with clients, whether at current firm or through prior work experience essential. Stand-up experience in court or other administrative law settings is desired (including through pro-bono work) needed. Admission to the Maryland Bar is essential.This firm has received a Tier 1 ranking in family law and mediation for the Washington, DC metropolitan area in the 2013 Edition of U.S. News-Best Lawyers "Best Law Firms" Practice areas include Divorce, Child Custody and Access, Child Support, Mediation, Prenuptial Agreements, Appeals and other areas of expertise.Additional Skills: Exceptionally strong legal writing and analytical skills as well as overall communications skills. Juris Doctor from a nationally-recognized law school. Genuinely likes working with people, with a knack for knowing how and when to best communicate information to drive action and how and when to listen actively to ensure mutual understanding. Embraces service-oriented problem solving as a core job attribute, with the initiative and spark to get out of their chair and roll up their sleeves quickly and decisively when a client experiences a problem that requires a prompt solution.
