Nemours is seeking a Physician Assistant, Weight Management to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware.

This position reports to and functions directly under the supervision of the attending physician. This position is responsible for: Performing direct patient care services in the outpatient clinics and inpatient units  under the direction of an attending physician and assisting with the overall care of the children receiving Weight Management. This position will be based primarily out of our Wilmington, DE location with additional coverage at our Philadelphia, PA outpatient location.

Essential Job Functions


  • Under the supervision of attending physicians, perform history and physical examinations and formulate assessment and treatment plan of pediatric patients, primarily in the outpatient setting.


  • Accurately record patient information in the electronic medical record.


  • Interpret lab results and discuss with patient/caregiver.


  • Educate parents/caregivers on patient conditions and plan of care.


  • Communicate with appropriate medical staff for purposes of consultation, referral, and coordination of patient care.


  • Must have the ability to work well with others.


  • Perform other duties as requested by the Division Chief.

Job Requirements


  • Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation

  • Current certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physicians Assistants

  • Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies

  • Active license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Delaware

  • Bilingual preferred
