We are currently looking for a dynamic individual as an Import/Export Service Manager for our Customer Focus Center organization at our Corporate Headquarters located in The Woodlands, Texas.

As an Import/Export Service Manager, you will be responsible for overall management and compliance of Exports and Imports to the United States and Canada for all Huntsman divisions and their associated business units by ensuring team execution of high quality service while continuously adding to customer service's value to the organization through business improvement. This role also includes the coaching and development of 12 direct reports and a team lead, team development, facilitation of cross-functional projects, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions, development of strong relationships throughout the organization, and clear demonstration of strong leadership up and down the organization through vision creation and results driven activities in a culture that creates positive, engaged interactions.
What will be expected from you?
Coach and develop direct reports by driving engagement, focusing on strengths, and individual growth plans
Develop streamlined processes and procedures to ensure the movement of cargo across international lines through complex global supply chain policies and constraints while ensuring team members can react to fast-paced and rapidly changing requirements.
Ensure that employees comply with US regulations and the laws of foreign countries in order to control shipments delays and costly penalties.
Develop and facilitate large and small projects including root cause analysis, financial impact assessment, action plan development, and change management
Liaison and develop networks with persons up and down the organization to get things done and provide ease of service to both internal and external customers
Create, manage, and hold others accountable for performance excellence with both specific KPIs, with relation to sales close, and utilization of soft skills
Troubleshoot and work through export related issues including documentation problems, customs issues, customer understandings of compliance rules and regulations, LC discrepancies, incoterms, and new regulations
Working with affiliate offices, global partners, and overseas customers to solve issues and communication gaps
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
Demonstrated success in the above key accountabilities and responsibilities
A high school diploma or equivalent in a Technical / Business or related field with 10+ years related experience. An Associate Degree in a Technical / Business or related field with 5+ years related experience is preferred. A Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Technical / Business or related field with 3+ years of related experience is preferred
Strong communication skills in a global arena
Ability to drive the engagement of team members and keep them motivated for the "long haul"
Ability to grow individuals within their role as well as helping them to expand beyond their current role
Ability to work with the other areas of the business where issues may arise to ensure ease of doing business for both Huntsman and the customer
