Role Summary

The Program Management Sr. Advisor role is a permanent position on the Salesforce Business team, a division of the Enterprise Sales Effectiveness organization.  The Program Manager Sr. Advisor will plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of mid-size and large Salesforce initiatives.  The primary responsibilities will be to understand current state processes, identify process improvement opportunities, develop business requirements, document process and data flows, facilitate design sessions, and coordinate cross-functional team communication to promote successful adoption.  

Role Responsibilities


  • Understand business priorities and successfully navigate a matrix environment to identify and engage appropriate subject matter experts. 

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills to resolve conflict, ensure accountability and keep the cross-functional team motivated

  • Build relationships and communicate to ensure support, alignment, buy-in and adoption on a regular basis

  • Deep Salesforce knowledge to enable proactive identification of how best to leverage technology to solve business issues

  • Develop and maintain a project plan to drive tasks to completion and identify and escalate risks as necessary

  • Partner with product owners, business and IT teams to develop business requirements into user stories to be prioritized for Salesforce development and implementation

  • Customer focus to ensure proposed solutions address business objectives and demonstrate improved efficiency, effectiveness and/or productivity gains

  • Strong analytical skills to proactively identify risks, mitigate risks, and utilize data to make informed decisions  

  • Anticipate and plan change through formal change management activities to ensure user acceptance and adoption.

  • Dedicated to continuous improvement and learning, staying current with Salesforce capabilities, recent enhancements and partner applications to build trusted and consultative partnerships with sales to improve data quality, reduce inefficiencies and enhance productivity

  • Perform Salesforce administration activities including but not limited to application configuration, creation of workflows, process builder/flow, email templates, reports & dashboards and providing end user support as necessary. 

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years in a sales environment with thorough knowledge of sales processes and applications

  • 3+ years of Salesforce administration experience

  • Project management experience in a matrix environment

  • Ability to influence and balance various stakeholder needs to foster collaboration and drive change

  • Ability to look at big picture without losing site of the details

  • Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS


  • Salesforce Administration, Salesforce Advanced Administration or Salesforce Sales Consultant certifications

  • Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning

  • Change Management certifications

  • Project Management certifications

  • Experience in an Agile development environment
