The Business Readiness Lead will advance the Medicare strategy by leading the overall implementation, execution, coordination, control and measurement of business readiness for Annual Enrollment, 1/1 readiness, and Open Enrollment periods. He/she provides insight and analysis to help senior leadership, the Project Management Office (PMO), Portfolio Governance, and key business partners to effectively plan, prioritize and manage business readiness activities across all projects at Cigna-HealthSpring.
Complete development of Business Readiness standards/ tools and integrate into PMO delivery. Build trust, confidence and rapport with the business on behalf of the program.
Use Business Readiness standards to manage relevant activities for Annual Enrollment, 1/1 readiness, and Open Enrollment working closely with business leaders, PMs and department experts, to build a full-year planning cycle & readiness plans for each business area.
Partner with PMO, IT and Operations teams as the business analyzes their processes, develops testing requirements, monitors validation/QA testing, and signs off on go-live.
Conduct analysis on problems in partnership with IT & the business, research and recommend solutions, and execute solutions to resolve client issues.
Serve as “hands-on” escalation point for PMO to identify and suggest approaches to resolve UAT issues.
Ensure risks are proactively surfaced and transparent, ensuring impacts are fully understood, communicated and disruption to business performance is managed and minimal. As needed, escalates issues to appropriate audiences including key business leaders and team members.
Consult on project planning and management of high-risk, high-impact projects.
Facilitate and ensure ongoing, effective communications among matrix partners and key contacts across the segment and broader Cigna organization as appropriate.
Effectively maximize key relationships to create synergies, alliances and opportunities.
Lead the Business Readiness team to meet organization goals and mentor employees to meet their full potential.
UAT experience in healthcare environment
5+ years of Project Management and/or Business Readiness experience
4+ years in leadership or people management experience
Strong influencer and collaborator, able to work through others and build relationships within the organization.
Ability to effectively lead initiatives in a matrix environment through influence and teamwork
Expert engagement and communication skills, with proven ability to create clear and concise messages for multitude of stakeholders
Strong business acumen, with proven ability to leverage knowledge base to quickly come up to speed in new business areas
Experience in change management evaluation, planning and execution. ADKAR experience desired.
