About this role:

The Systems Programming Analyst contributes to the evaluation, design, development, testing, operational maintenance, protection, and support of UPS technology assets through Information Services' (I.S.) environment life cycle (e.g., mainframe, midrange, open systems and x86/x64 architectures, storage, mobile and fixed devices, etc.). He/She contributes to the evaluation, design, testing, implementation, maintenance, performance, capacity tuning, and support of third-party infrastructures, applications, and appliances (i.e., transaction, collaboration, communications protocols, application delivery, virtualization, and directory services). This position assists with design, implementation, maintenance, and support of storage and back-up and recovery solutions.

The Systems Programming Analyst assists in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of I.S. Security models for UPS's I.S. environments. This position identifies and implements technologies and processes to improve the reliability, efficiency, and availability of the systems environment. He/She develops business continuity design. This position utilizes supplied specifications and standardized tools for work assignments of moderate risk, impact, complexity, and scope. Assists teams with onboarding. Establishes best practices on platforms. Assists with training and boot camp on platforms. Supports the enterprise implementation of FUSE, API Manager, Openshift, Kafka and Public Cloud (Google Pub/Sub, Data Flow). The selected candidate will assist with the integration side of ICDC. Fuse, API Manager, Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, DataFlow.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Java Programming, Object Oriented Analysis & Design, Technical Knowledge of Hardware & Software
  • Technical Analysis, Technical Writing, Agile and Scrum Concepts, Excellent communication

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Java, NodeJS, TFS/GIT, Jenkins, Nexus, Angular
