Work under the direction of foreman or any intermediary the foreman may assign. With minimum of assistance, follow detailed assembly and packaging orders derived from parts lists, blueprints, engineering specifications, military packaging specifications and individual customer needs. Set up and operate mechanical devices for printing, counting and packaging to meet packaging and assembly requirements. Pack, assemble and wrap all products preparatory to shipment.
Assemble and package orders following manufacturing orders and supervisor's instructions. Verify product and part numbers to order. Recognize mixed products, inconsistencies, incorrect labeling or packaging materials. Place packaging materials into designated areas and draw as required for order assembly and packaging. Make boxes and other packaging containers following specific instructions and procedures. Use plastic sealer pot, trimmer sealer and scales. Observe all safety and housekeeping requirements. Report immediately all problems and difficulties. Execute accurately all necessary records including counting and recording time.
Follow prescribed routine and instructions to issue and receive parts. Combine sales orders to optimize order picking, releasing and shipping functions. Note any discrepancies and initiate corrective action with supervisor; Set-up and use weight ratio scales. Perform cycle count audit and consolidate physical inventories by product in an orderly fashion. ,
Draw and issue raw materials to manufacturing orders and other authorizations. Receive in
and transport materials/parts, identify, weigh and store. Separate, weigh and move scrap. Pick up and deliver to appropriate locations rejected, wrong and overage materials and parts.
Operate all material handling equipment, including forklift. Identify and move material/parts
into next operation as directed by manufacturing order or special instructions. Deliver parts to designated work stations. Load, unload and move materials/parts as received.
Execute regular shipping instructions. Combine shipments for routings and rates. Use meters and related equipment for determining weights, zones and rates. Prepare special packaging as instructed.
Load and unload shelves and move materials and parts as required. Fill M.O.'s and sample requests. Assist in pulling large sales orders. Use manual handling equipment when required. Issue and receive work orders as directed. Observe all safety and housekeeping requirements and report immediately all problems or difficulties. Perform cycle count audit following established procedures and consolidate physical inventories by product in an orderly fashion. Promptly alert the supervisor or other intermediary to factors that disrupt or delay the operations.
This is a 1st shift part time position.
High school or equivalent. Be able to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment. Some computer skills required.61384BR
