This position will further enhance and develop the Controlling function within the Dematic Finance Organization. This degreed position requires 5-8 years relevant experience. The position will work with Project Engineering to effectively forecast and analyze financial results.


Reporting directly to the Finance Manager of Supply Chain Operations and Engineering, the position will have the following responsibilities:


  1. Partner with Project Engineering to develop the monthly short-term project forecast for engineering hours and costs, utilizing existing forecasting systems.      

  2. Continually monitoring business performance, identify variances, and provide management insight into trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement

  3. Prepare monthly cost center forecasts and provide analysis of actual results explaining variances to cost center owners and FP&A.

  4. Develop engineering workload analysis as an outcome of the short-term financial forecast monthly and provide guidance on headcount management

  5. Execute monthly accounting processes and month-end activities

  6. Develop monthly operations deck and scorecard in preparation for global functional reviews

  7. Finance partner for cost center budget, forecast, and actual results.  

  8. Coordinate and prepare the annual operating plan budget according to established timelines

  9. Serve as financial partner to VP NA Project Engineering and direct reports, as well as engineering staff across NA as needed

  10. Support special ad hoc analysis as needed


The ideal candidate would have the following credentials:


  1. Completed 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields

  2. Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  3. Experience in SAP is a plus

  4. Five-year minimum work history with demonstrated success within the Accounting and Finance field. Project Accounting / POC or manufacturing accounting experience is a plus

  5. Exceptional analytical, critical reasoning, and communication skills

  6. Demonstrated ability to be well organized, learn new tasks quickly, define process improvements, and strive for success
