  • Overview

    The customer service representative is the liaison between the customer and the company. The primary function of this position is to properly process sales orders and requests for quotes. In addition, the representative responds to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints. As liaison, this position requires a clear understanding of the various departmental roles so that the correct and timely response can be provided to the customer. In addition, the customer service representative is responsible to provide pertinent information and support to K-Tube's Direct Sales Representatives. Customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty represent the primary objective of this position.

    Responsibilities


    • Receive, review, and enter customer purchase orders accompanied by the appropriate related production orders

    • Receive, review, and respond to customer requests for quotes

    • Provide customers with answers regarding price, availability, products, and services

    • Expedite customer orders to ensure timely delivery

    • Work with outside vendors to properly obtain purchased services relevant to product fabrication

    • Work within established guidelines to resolve customer discrepancies which may or may not result in adjustments to sales invoices

    • Provide timely and proper response to customer inquiries

    • Communicate all customer quotes, inquiries, and product related issues to the respective K-Tube direct sales representative

    • Report sales and quotation activity to the Customer Service Team Members and Management

    Qualifications


    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

    • 3 years of previous experience in Customer Service

    • Proven negotiation and presentation skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Strong math skills

    • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Power Point

    • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
