ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the task of re-making bundles that do not meet our quality standards in compliance with Standard Operating Procedure. Must keep accurate operational records as directed. Detect and report faulty operation, defective material and equipment and other unusual conditions to teammates and appropriate personnel through mechanical and electrical log sheet Collaborate with appropriate personnel to transmit and exchange information pertinent to work related activities such as color changes and product changes, or scheduled down time. Inspects product to ensure compliance with quality standards. Isolates any product that needs to be re-wrapped by removing it off the production line. Removes off spec wrapper material from bundle of shingles and places the bundle onto the rework conveyor line. Verifies with Wrapper operator that reworked material can be put back through the production line. Assist with splices at wrapper, helps monitor rolls and informs wrapper operator when they are low and helps make the splices. Assist Auto Catcher Operator with disposition of our off spec material. Able to pull splices from bundles and discard. Assist with product changes, sheet breaks and threading machine. Meets all physical demands of the position as more fully described below. Works scheduled shifts and overtime as assigned. Performs all work in safe, efficient manner and follows all safety procedures. Maintains work area in neat and orderly condition per the housekeeping procedure. Performs other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; to raise and lower objects without mechanical aids; to extend hands and arms in any direction to reach, push or pull objects; to bend at the knees and at the waist; and to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to be ale to stand for long periods of time, to walk, to have the ability to balance when assisting in the thread-up of the machine and to climb industrial ladders and use catwalks and stairs in the work area.
The employee must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 lbs, with assistance.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to wear and use required safety equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toe safety shoes, hearing protection and head protection.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to fiberglass mat, asphalt, granules, fumes or airborne particles that fall below OSHA PELs. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to vibration from machines.
The employee occasionally works in high places when assisting with thread-ups and above the floor level on catwalks and/or stairs, and is exposed seasonally to hot and cold weather.
The noise level in the work environment requires hearing protection.
