Plans, performs, monitors and reports on components of varying complexity in regards to Technical Services (TS) compliance projects as well other assigned projects within information system areas of the Company. Performs assigned portions of TS compliance programs, determining compliance with policies and procedures, monitoring, recommending corrective action, preparing findings and assisting with remediation plans.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Leads multiple concurrent compliance projects and services as assigned by management.
Performs and supervises assigned multiple concurrent compliance projects and services including evaluating and designing programs to address planning, risk analysis, customer interaction, testing and reporting procedures in accordance with appropriate professional and department standards and within budgeted time-frames and with minimal supervision from management.
Prepares documentation and reports requiring minimal revision by management.
Conveys performance expectations to staff in a clear and effective manner, providing feedback and guidance throughout the assigned project. Meets with various management groups to facilitate efficient and effective compliance projects and services.
Leads assigned teams, holds discussions with management regarding control weaknesses and prepares reports to management communicating final results including recommendations to improve information system practices.
Assists in ongoing risk assessment and understanding of business objectives through contact with client management.
Identifies opportunities and provides solutions for improvement to compliance processes as well TS processes.
Monitors progress and status of multiple concurrent assigned compliance projects to ensure completion within budgeted time-frames, reporting any timing issues to management in a timely manner.
Supervises and provides assistance to internal and external auditors.
Represents Risk and Compliance as directed during management absence.
Makes recommendations to regarding hiring, terminations, layoffs, performance, promotions and salary increases.
7+ years of experience in TS risk and compliance, TS governance, TS auditing or TS related field required, Big 4 accounting firm experience is a plus.
Requires excellent analytical and communications skills to learn customer business objectives, evaluate risks and plan, supervise and control compliance and other activities.
Supervisory skills, ability to work well with others in a team environment and ability to produce results through others is required.
Must be capable of working under minimum supervision, planning and conducting compliance assignments and directing the activities of staff as required; strong knowledge of risk and compliance, TS audit and governance practices and Company operations is preferred.
Must possess a high level of working knowledge in the following areas: systems (Z\OS, UNIX, Linux, NT/Windows Server), application development (COBOL, C, Java, PL/SQL, Visual Basic.net), operations (batch processing, monitoring) networking and telecommunications, database (Oracle, Teradata, IDMS, DB2, SQL Server, Informix), logical security (Active Directory, Unix, Mainframe -Top Secret/ACF2, Internet/Intranet), or web services.
Must be capable of working under minimum supervision, planning and conducting TS compliance projects and directing the activities of staff as required. General knowledge of compliance practices, TS audit and Company operations is preferred.
In-Depth knowledge of internal control concepts, principles, risk analysis, Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, PCI Compliance, HIPAA, Privacy, process improvement and techniques, including COSO and COBIT frameworks.
