The person hired for the position of Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for coordinating internal production material flow from requirement/demand to the point of use by employing modern flow techniques that will yield 100% on time performance at the lowest total cost.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


  • Manage the forward-looking supply plan, purchase raw materials, schedule production and manage finished good inventory for multiple manufacturing areas

  • Responsible for coordinating with other 3M locations, external suppliers, and business team to meet service, cost, and inventory targets

  • Develop and maintain operating rhythms to ensure smooth supply chain operations, aligning supply with demand

  • Provide planning analysis to support decision making

  • Publish and present service and inventory metrics, results, and gap analysis

  • Actively manage working and non-working inventories to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targets

  • Work with business team to review and identify portfolio improvement opportunities

  • Support the planning for new product introductions through effective procurement and scheduling

  • Business transformation readiness activities and projects as assigned 

  • Utilize Supply Chain tools and processes such as SAP

  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve SC metrics and improve SC processes

Basic Qualifications:


  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of two (2) years Supply Chain experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain and/or Operations Management from an accredited university

  • Three to five (3-5) years combined experience in supply chain management, inventory control and/or materials planning

  • SAP experience

  • APICS certification

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Experience

  • Excellent communication, data analysis, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment

  • Supervisor experience

Location: Irvine, CA

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic

Relocation: Is authorized
