Take the project we’re now working on. As an On-site developer you will be a key member of a team that is developing weapons effects modeling and simulation tools, machine-learning based automated capabilities, and cloud-based technologies to support real-world planning operations for the Department of Defense. The multi-disciplinary collaborative team of engineers and scientists researching and developing these technologies are part of our employee-owned research and engineering company. Additionally, you will be sitting at a government facility, working directly with end-users, customers, and other teams. ARA is recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences, and you will be on this team.

On-Site Developer Position Requirements:

  • BS, MS degree in a computer science or engineering related field

  • 2-4 years' relevant work experience

  • Experience in both C++ and Python programming languages

  • Team Player with excellent communication skills and the desire to work in a dynamic software development team environment (e.g. Agile, Scrum, XP practices)

  • Due to the work you’ll perform and interactions with the intelligence community and DoD programs, a TS/SCI security clearance is preferred, but a TS security clearance with SCI eligibility is accepted

Other Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in Amazon Web Services

  • Familiarity with software design patterns and modern C++

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
